You should attend the general student orientation as well. This may be specific to department.

Enroll in courses.
As soon as possible complete your enrollment for classes. Some may have waiting lists.
Your goal is to complete enrollment in your courses for the semester.

Research courses offered.
Spend some time looking at the courses offered in your major. There may be some that are already closed but you should still be able to get a solid start by adding some general courses for now. Use online tools that rate professors to try and get the best teachers you can.
Your goal is to find courses in your major or other general courses to take until those courses open up next semester.
